Pigmented Lesions

Lifecycle and hormonal changes can affect the distribution of color (melanin) in our skin, leading to the appearance of sun spots, age spots, or melasma- a dark, patchy facial discoloration condition.

Alma’s light-based and laser treatments remove the appearance of spots and pigmentation by targeting the melanin in the darkened area, clearing all layers of the pigmentation and revealing even-toned, unblemished skin.

The treatments are specially designed for patient comfort and are safe and effective for all skin types, including dark skin. All-layer targeting of hyperpigmentation- including for dark skin.

The appearance of pigmented lesions can be successfully cleared by inducing selective photothermolysis of the melanin chromophore in the target tissue. This can be achieved for all layers of the pigmented lesion, as well as for lesions appearing in dark skin types, using Dye-SR technology, the Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser, or either approach with the addition of Impact technology for significantly enhanced results.

Combined solution for all shades and layers: Dye SR and ClearLift This combination provides a wide coverage for many types of pigmented lesions located in all layers of the skin, including on dark skin tones. The Dye-SR is based on Alma’s proprietary AFT technology and a narrow band spectrum for the precise treatment of pigmented lesions, focusing on superficial lesIons. The high powered Q-switched ND:Yag 1064nm laser (ClearLift) treats deep pigmented lesions, offering an effective solution for deeper-set ones.
